Rutherglen Country FairThe Rutherglen Country Fair is one of the largest regional markets in Victoria. It is held on the Sunday (9th June) of the King's Birthday long weekend from 9:00am to 3:30pm and is part of the popular Roam Rutherglen Winery Walkabout.

Applications for stallholders at this years Country Fair will be available from 1st April and close on 1st May.

 All food sellers must hold a current registration on the online FOODTRADER system: https://www.foodtrader.vic.gov.au and must submit their FOODTRADER SOT (Statement of Trade) prior to the event allowing time for Indigo Shire to confirm your eligibility.

 RUTHERGLEN VINTAGE BIKE RIDE 2024 (draft version 3)

 Rutherglen Vintage Ride

The Rotary Club of Rutherglen is organising a “Vintage Ride” to be held on Saturday 20th April 2024. Bikes of all types and riders of all abilities are welcome. Please join in the fun.

  • Date – Saturday 20th April 2024.
  • Distance – Various options – 10 kms to the lunch location (and 10 kms back, but support is available if 10 kms is your limit!!); 20-40 kms if you are happy “just rolling along”. All on the rail-trail or gentle roads, most with very little traffic, mostly sealed.
  • Start / Finish - at the Rutherglen Convent in High Street Rutherglen. A relaxed “staggered start time” from 10:00 AM with the ride finishing at about 5:00PM.
  • Includes – Prize for best “vintage” clothing, a Pinarello bike display at the Convent, a vintage bike display and bbq lunch with live music at Pfeiffer’s winery, supported riding (emergency trailer and rider and wine pick up), event showbag, post event refreshments and live music back at the Convent.
  • Opportunity to – 
    • have a weekend in the Rutherglen wine region (and possibly view harvesting of the 2024 vintage) - Arrive on Friday, vintage bike ride on Saturday, tour the wineries on Sunday, stay as long as you can.
    • Support (a) research into Motor Neurone Disease and (b) local Country Fire Authority brigades by purchasing tickets in our raffle with fabulous prizes including
      • a classic steel Pinarello road bike,
      • a modern unisex e-bike,
      • Luxury accommodation in Rutherglen
      • and other prizes.
    • Raffle tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10 and become available in February 2024.
  • Ticket Prices – Any profits will be donated to our charities. Our main supported charity is Motor Neurone Disease Victoria as well as local Country Fire Authority brigades.
    • The bike ride price includes a bbq lunch with live music at Pfeiffers winery Wahgunyah, support wagon, route map, tourist information on the Rutherglen district event showbag with energy bar etc, water, marshalling services, a prize for “best vintage dressed”, and other surprises!
      • 18 years and over $40
      • Under 18 years of age $20
      • Lunch only (not riding) $20
    • Raffle tickets will be sold separately, from February 2024.
    • VERY IMPORTANT – All participants on the bike ride will be required to agree with the terms and conditions of the Event and sign a disclaimer. The details may be viewed here …. The disclaimer is to be signed on the day of the ride.
