Our Projects

The Rotary Club of Rutherglen undertakes many local and international projects on a continuing and one off basis.

Annual Local projects include such things as:

• Organising the Australia day celebrations for the Rutherglen community
• Co-ordinate the Good Friday Royal Childrens Hospital appeal for Rutherglen and district 
• The Country Fair and Muscat Run on the Kings birthday weekend
• Lake King cleanup
• Youth projects - public speaking, Rotary Youth Exchange, VET catering, and the National Youth Science Forum
• Meals on wheels

Other Local projects that we get involved in include:

• Maintain and clean up monuments within Rutherglen
• Tree planting 
• Assisting needy residents in Rutherglen
• Assisting local community groups within Rutherglen and district

International Projects include:

• Participated in the districts 'Build a Village' in the Phillipines
• The Fijian Rotahomes project where 7 members travelled Fiji and built a Rotahome,
• Rotary Foundation fund raising - Polio plus
• Aquabox water purification project
• Supplying a Shelter box during times of disaster
